Late Capt. Mahama’s pistol retrieved

Security agencies have retrieved the gun seized by a mob from the late Capt. Maxwell Mahama after he was lynched and burnt on Monday at Denkyira Obuasi Upper Denkyira West in the Central Region on Monday.

Kasapafmonline.com is informed that the pistol was retrieved from a 35 year old farmer, Yaw Annor who’s the Unit Committee member in the Denkyira Boase community.

He fled the town on Tuesday and sought refuge at Asaman in the Ashanti Region. It is immediately unclear how he got access to the pistol.

The suspect and the assemblyman William Baah who’s a teacher both surrendered at the same time.

They reportedly called the District Police Commander and the Member of Parliament for the area informing them of their location and their intention to turn themselves in to the police.

The police then picked them up on Wednesday and are currently in the custody of the Central Regional Police Command.
