Popular Gospel musician Nii Okai says the late Minister Danny Nettey’s death has left a huge void in many people’s lives.
According to him, Nettey, in many unimaginable ways, drew many people to God with his worship songs.
He said for many great gospel musicians who were inspired by the late musicians’ ministry, they are yet to come to terms with the death of the worship king.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the ‘House of Pain’ hit maker gave a testimony about how Mr Nettey encouraged and mentored other musicians to follow his path and do better in worshipping God.
Minister Danny Nettey passed on to glory on July 15, 2016, last year in a manner that left friends and admirers heartbroken.
“You can’t talk about Danny Nettey without talking about worship. Anywhere he went, he left that legacy of making God the prime focus of whatever we do as musicians,” he said.
Nii Okai, who also doubles as the leader of the Harbor City Mass Choir added that as a result of the mentorship he received from Minister Danny Nettey, he has decided to carry on with the cause of worship.
He also announced he will be organising a concert in September this year to mark his 40th Birthday during which he will launch his sixth album.
